"My Dad was at USF law school when he was made a LT. Junior grade and assigned to this ship in WWII. He sailed all over the world in it as a Burser accounting for cargo transfers while in port. He liked to sleep out on deck on a cot. He had 8 mm movies of an erupting volcano while in the South Pacific he took from the ship's rail. Dad is no longer with us, but I am sending this to my brother in Norfolk, Virginia for his birthday next month.
